About Sunnydale Residential Home

Sunnydale Residential Home is a well-established residential care home situated in a quiet residential area of Newbury, Berkshire. The home was originally built in 1965 as a large detached family dwelling and was converted into a residential care home in 1998 by the current owners, Mr and Mrs Derek Patterson. The home is registered to accommodate up to 26 residents and provides care for elderly people who require assistance with their daily living needs. The home is set in approximately half an acre of well-maintained gardens and provides a comfortable and homely environment for all of our residents. All of our rooms are single occupancy and several rooms have en-suite toilet facilities. Communal areas include a large lounge with a television, a separate quiet lounge, a dining room and a conservatory which overlooks the rear garden. The home is staffed 24 hours a day by a team of qualified and experienced care workers who are committed to providing a high standard of care to all of our residents. We work closely with local GP surgeries, district nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that the health and wellbeing of our residents is maintained at all times. The home is registered with and regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and our most recent inspection report is available to view on the CQC website. We are committed to continuous improvement and welcome feedback from residents, families, and visitors.

We also arrange outings when possible including trips to local garden centres, pub lunches, and seasonal events. Residents are of course under no obligation to participate in activities and are free to spend their time however they wish. We also welcome visits from local school children and community groups. A monthly newsletter detailing forthcoming activities and events is distributed to all residents and their families.
